iSpring RCC7 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System

Top-Rated Legendary Reverse Osmosis System

The iSpring legendary #RCC7 features a 5-stage filtration process, the RO incorporates polypropylene sediment (PP), granular active carbon (GAC), carbon block (CTO) and Reverse Osmosis technologies to provide crisp-tasting, bottled-quality water straight from your tap year after year.

Product Highlights

  • New technology reduces waste water ratio to 2:1, the best in the market.
  • Exceptional Purification - removes up to 98-percent of chemicals, heavy metals, sediment, and other contaminants then adds good minerals
  • Reliable design in solid construction will provide you years' worry free service.
  • Easy installation with quick-fittings and wall-mountable bracket that fits cabinet under sink.
  • Purifies 75 gallons of water per day. Usable with chlorinated and well-water sources.
  • Complete system with luxury goose neck faucet and all kits ready for installation
  • Comes with 30-day money back and 1-year limited warranty.

How it works

Every time you turn on drinking faucet, source water passes through a 5-micron sediment filter that traps particulate matter - such as dirt, rust, and silt - that can affect the taste and appearance of your water, and potentially clog the system.
Next, a 5-micron GAC filter reduces chlorine taste and odor, as well as mineral oil, BTEX, Poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PACs), phenol, and halogenated substance.
At the third stage, a denser carbon block filter removes any residual color, taste and odds (CTO), as well as difficult-to-remove chemicals such as chloramines.
The system's 4th stage of filtration is especially important, as it involves the pressing of water through the NSF certified reverse osmosis (RO) membrane, the same technology used to produce bottle water. This semi-permeable membrane features tiny holes at size of 0.0001 micron (|ým) effectively removes arsenic, lead, perchlorate, chromium, copper, TDS (total dissolved solids), sodium, and a long list of other water contaminants. It also removes parasitic cysts, such as giardia and cryptosporidia. The 5th stage of filtration utilizes a finer GAC filter, which works as a final polishing filter when the water leaves the storage tank.
The end result is consistently great-tasting water at merely one cent per bottle. Besides helping your family, with any type of iSpring water-filtration product you use, you may also prevent up to 16,000 plastic bottles from polluting environment ?a all in the time it takes to use and replace a single filter.
Note: If your water pressure is below 45PSI, we recommend our RO system with built-in booster pump, model #RCC7P-AK.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best RO filter at this price
For an aquarium fan like me, a source of clean water is essential. I live in a desert town in CA. The city water could be the dirtiest in the country. The TDS meter reads 300-500 ppm in different seasons. I have tried carbon and PP filters but none of them could reduce the PPM to below 200. With some basic education about water treatment, I found Reverse Osmosis is the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Hoses broke which resulted in leak, April 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
Instaled this on third floor of appartment. Really monitored the leaks for the first month and then nothing, so I put many stuff in front of it. Turns out two months later the neighbours complained of a leak from second floor. Apparently the red hose did not withstand pressure and cracked. Now the kitchen cabinets have to be rebuilt, mold has to be removed, and ceiling has to be fixed. Luckily I don't have to pay for it but the building manager says that I cannot use the filter and not to use such cheap plastic hoses. So basically these are cheap plastic hoses that are gonna crack and leak eventually. I have no more use for this filter, very disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cannot use if you live in the apartment!, April 16, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
Installing this will require drilling pipes, changing fittings and/or possibly calling a plumber. If you live in the apartment,. no plumber will come work on your pipes and the apartment complex prohibit from any pipe modifications. Worthless to me. Will be returning and getting a tabletop unit instead. PUT IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT PIPES NEED TO BE DRILLED FOR THIS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Install+ Clean and fresh tasting Water + Cost Effective, April 14, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
Installation:
Very easy to install. You must watch the video on youtube to be 100% on the connections. When you install the tank put Teflon on the threads of the cap/tap.
Purification:
I believe the water is pure and clean as it tastes much much better. I have two water lines in the house and there is a remarkable difference in the taste of the water from the regular water line and the one which has been through the iSpring system.
Very happy with the product.
Similar product 5-stage was about $300 from homedepot

Installation was fairly easy with all the needed parts and instructions. (About 1 hour total) After it was installed the water tasted better but had a little funny taste to it as well. I ordered the iSpring alkaline filter and included that and the water is perfect now. After a couple of months of use we are very happy. It is installed for the refrigerator ice maker and water as well as to the kitchen sink and we love it and definitely drink more water now!

5.0 out of 5 stars 7 PPM, April 11, 2014
By

This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
It has only been two weeks, but so far so good. Brought my city tap water from 200ppm to 007ppm. Tastes like aquafina.

The install is doable if you are somewhat handy, but will take some time. The hoses and connections that come with the system are easy enough, but modifying your existing plumbing to split a line and add a drain will take some time. The package does come with all of the plumbing hardware needed for standard fittings. Hasn't been that long, but happy so far.

Purchased this for my son and his family. I helped him install it. It has been working as well as my own. If you are looking for an RO system for the DIYer this is a good choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally... potable water!, April 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
I ordered the system on a Saturday, and it showed up Monday morning.

Improved my softened well water so much. As a result of all the processing I have to do on my water to get it through the pipes with the least amount of damage possible; it contains a lot of sodium. I managed to fit it all under my master bathroom sink, which runs a water line to the fridge/ ice maker on the other side of the wall in the kitchen. I wish I would of known about iSpring a long time ago.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad to set up - output is 10ppm vs 175ppm input, April 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
Using for aquarium and hydroponics. I can't comment on the effect of RO water yet, but what I have tested is that the output water is 10ppm from an input of 175ppm.

The setup is complex, but doesn't require any specialized skills, if you are comfortable tapping into your water system. I tapped into a hose fitting and had to get adapters from the hardware store. It can be challenging to leak-proof these connections if you haven't done them before. My drain is just the output hose going into a slop sink (the kit is in the basement).

Instructions are grouped into sections (how to change filter), how to install the tank, how to tap the line, etc.) which was a little confusing to follow, but there is a good flow guide schematic on the cover, so if you follow that end to end the rest of the instructions fill in the details well enough.

First start, refill/processing time, and other specs are pretty much as advertised. First couple gallons output had carbon filter discharge in it but that cleared up quickly.

I like the faucet - it fit right into the faucet hole in my slop sink. The end output pressure is firm but not high, and drops a little bit as the tank empties.

Only other tip i can think of is that to install the membrane filter it was much easier to remove the hose from the cap because the connection on the end doesn't really rotate when you try to unscrew the cap.

5.0 out of 5 stars WORKS GREAT, EXCELLENT TASTING WATER, April 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have two of these systems and recommend them highly. I bought a system to make water for my plants, then we started drinking it and it was so much better than output from Brita pitchers that I bought a second system and installed it under our kitchen sink.

I also recommend you get a TDS meter, this can be an installed accessory that is part of the installation OR just buy a handheld TDS meter here on Amazon, it will help you decide when to replace the filters by reading the "total dissolved solids" in the water output by the R.O. system.

The water at my house in Southern California has lots of problems, our water utility gets the water from local wells and from the California Aquaduct. Our untreated city water has TDS at our house of 275-500ppm, the output of my R.O. system consistently runs 12-20ppm after treatment.

R.O. water tastes fantastic and is so refreshing, much better flavor IMO than bottled because there is no plastic bottle taste. R.O. water also makes amazing coffee, we grind our own beans fresh and use fresh R.O. water from the system tap to make the best coffee on earth.

We are in our second year with our iSpring R.O. systems and still loving them, just ordered the three-year kit of replacement filters.
